We happened upon
Patisserie Stohrer while wandering through the second arrondissement in Paris. Situated on the pedestrian-only Rue Montorgueil, Stohrer is the oldest pastry shop in Paris and offers an amazing variety of delectable desserts. The ceiling and walls of the shop are just as beautiful as the pastries in the glass cases.
My mom and I sampled a raspberry eclair and an almond brioche. The eclair was hands down the best I have ever had! We later learned that Stohrer is known for their Baba au Rhum, a dessert I would love to try. Looks like we have another reason to return to Paris!

well. now. this just isn't fair! (I love that your mom's nail polish matches the eclair!!)
ReplyDeleteI didn't realize how well her polish coordinated with that raspberry deliciousness until you mentioned it! We loved that bakery and were sad we couldn't go back a second time for more treats. I have been thinking about that eclair ever since our trip.
DeleteLooks absolutely divine! When we were in Paris we went to Angelina for their hot chocolate and it was truly amazing. Paris has some of the most amazing bakeries!

Paris is just so amazing! We tried to go to Angelina, but when we arrived we learned it was closed for renovations! We will just need to make a trip back for their famous hot chocolate :)
