ART BOX NY

I am always searching for fun and exciting activities around the five boroughs to do with my friends. There always seems to be a new market to explore, museum to tour, or restaurant to try! But during the holiday season the hustle and bustle in New York City can be downright exhausting. When I heard about ART BOX, a new at-home painting party service, I knew it was the perfect way to spend time with my friends!

My job as hostess was simple; I made sure to tidy up before my guests arrived and prepared some snacks and beverages. Shirley and Kevin, the team behind ART BOX, took care of the rest! They arrived 20 minutes before my scheduled event with canvases, paint, brushes, easels, aprons, and table clothes. By the time my guests arrived everything was set up and ready to go! We were able to socialize and load up our plates with appetizers before settling in to paint Sequin Town, the painting I selected from ART BOX's winter-themed options. 

Shirley took us through each step of the painting process, starting with our color selection. She was encouraging, helpful, and accommodating to all of our needs along the way! I loved the creative liberties we were able to take with our selection. By the end of our two-hour painting session we each created our own personalized versions of the model painting with completely different color palettes!

After we finished painting, Shirley and Kevin quickly cleaned everything up which allowed me to focus on my friends and the large plate of freshly baked cookies in the kitchen. At work on Monday morning the four of us couldn't stop talking about how much fun we had relaxing and painting together. We had such a wonderful time!
