Posada Margherita

Our meal at Posada Margherita was one of my favorite experiences in Tulum. After exploring the ruins earlier in the morning, Amy and I were in search of a delicious meal on the beach. We asked a few of the local shop owners and they highly recommended the organic menu at Posada Margherita. We walked along the beach for much longer than anticipated and were overjoyed when we found the restaurant. We sat down at a table overlooking the turquoise water and immediately ordered ice cold bottles of water and homemade watermelon, lime, and basil juices. We snacked on cauliflower and fresh baked focaccia while we waited for our pasta and salad to arrive. Our entrees were fresh, organic, and perfectly prepared. Honestly, we could not have been any happier with our meal! The restaurant, along with the hotel, also had the most beautiful decor. The clay pots, turquoise and yellow wood, and vintage glass jars complimented the natural surroundings. When I return to Tulum dining at Posada Margherita will be at the top of my list!

Mexico according to Instagram.

I can't wait to share some of my photos from my Mexican girls' getaway this week! I met up with my best friend Amy in Tulum for a much needed vacation. We had the best time sitting on the beach, exploring the ruins, and catching up over delicious meals. We have known each other for almost 20 years and this vacation was the perfect way to celebrate our friendship!

Isla Mujeres

While vacationing in Cancun a few weeks ago we spent an afternoon exploring Isla Mujeres. I instantly fell in love with the crystal blue water and brightly colored buildings. Oh the colors! Although we didn't have enough time to rent a golf cart and cruise around the island, we were able to walk around, grab a coffee, and buy some souvenirs before hopping on the ferry back to our resort.
If we ever make it back to Mexico we will definitely spend more time on Isla Mujeres! One afternoon just wasn't enough.
