It's official, spring break is over. I tried to make the most of my last day in the city before heading back to work tomorrow. Here is why I loved today...
I enjoyed a sandwich and iced coffee in Bryant Park. Birds hopped around my feet as I threw bread crumbs and enjoyed this little view to my right. The Empire State Building gets me every time. I love it.
Oh, did I mention I was in a tank top and skirt? Because it was 80 degrees. Thank you NYC weather gods for making my transition back from Florida an easy one.
I almost started dancing like a crazy person by myself in the park because of Brett Dennen. If you do not have his new album, get it immediately. At least this song, Sydney (I'll Come Running). You will want to dance, too.
I also listened to steel drums today across the subway platform. This man made my wait for the N train much more enjoyable.
Rockefeller Center was beautiful and bright.
And I treated myself to a manicure/pedicure. I don't have a picture, but my nails are now covered in Big Spender.
Spring break 2011, you will be surely missed. You were the best.
Oooh can you send some of that 80 degree weather over here please? :) What a great spring break you had!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous photos, and I agree with the previous commenter, I want some warm weather too! We're heading into winter here in NZ and I am not impressed. :(
ReplyDeleteYou always take such great pics! See you sunday :)
ReplyDeleteClearly I need to go to NYC in the spring :-)
ReplyDeleteJust added Brett to my Pandora stations. LOVE!!
