Coffee and a book in Bryant Park, followed by lunch with a friend on a bench surrounded by tulips and sunshine.
Free ice cream sandwiches from 'wichcraft in the middle of the afternoon. After sending out a tweet about craving an ice cream sandwich from Coolhaus, Isabelle quickly replied with all of the info for free ice cream in Bryant Park. It couldn't have been more perfect! Oh, the joys of twitter. When Brianne and I arrived a few minutes before the official 'wichcraft opening at 2 pm, the line of people wrapped around the paths of the park. Luckily, we only waited about ten minutes for our spring break treat.
My peanut butter cookie sandwich with strawberry ice cream was delicious.
A stroll through Madison Square Park. White and pink branches framed views of the Empire State Building and the magnificent Flatiron Building perfectly. As always, the park was bustling with people satisfying their Shake Shack cravings and enjoying the beautiful spring weather.
A trip to the Union Square Greenmarket, where yummy maple candy was purchased and devoured before my train ride home. I cannot resist this market, and rarely leave without some sort of treat.
I have enjoyed everything this spring break has offered, and am cherishing these final days of relaxation before returning to work early Monday morning. Happy weekend everyone!
Those ice cream sandwiches look devine!!
ReplyDeleteUS weekly + Starbucks in the park sounds like a dream come true as well...
Enjoy your spring break.

ReplyDeleteHi Daina,
ReplyDeleteI've been coming by your blog for a while now, but I'm always too shy to leave a comment. I adore your blog and your photos. I have a slight obsession with NYC, and it would be a dream to live there. I live vicariously through your blog. I've only visited NYC once, but plan to come back again one day soon. Your photos are always so amazing, and I just love your blog.

ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed your photos. Central Park in the Spring is gorgeous, and the Flatiron building is my absolute favorite, ever since I saw the Alfred Stieglitz photograph. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteOoooo, love the perspective on that first shot and I want one of those peanut butter cookie sandwiches ASAP! I've mentioned how much I love seeing your photos, right Daina! Love, love, love them. Every time I stop by your blog I want to start planning a trip to NY! Have a great week! Thanks for linking up. :)
ReplyDeleteI've been searching for your blog. Well, not yours specifically (though that would be a nice compliment so i should just stick with it.. right?) but one like yours. When I graduate college I'm aiming to move up to good ol new york. I love reading about it from people who live there. So, as I said, I've been looking for a blog, just like yours. Instantly in love. Thanks :)
