The first time I heard Tom Petty sing those words I fell in love. My best friend introduced me to the Wildflowers album in sixth grade, and it quickly became one of my favorites. Little did I know then that it would still be one of my favorite albums sixteen years later. I love everything about Tom Petty- his distinct voice, his catchy rock ballads, his skinny little legs... he just makes me so happy. 

Seeing Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers live is always a thrill. I saw him twice in Minneapolis in high school and college, and again a few years ago at the Garden in New York City. Last week's concert was extra special though. Tom (I like to think we are on a first name basis) opted for a much smaller venue, The Beacon Theatre. Brian and I have seen several concerts there and absolutely love the space. We managed to get orchestra seats for the sold out concert (thank you spring break for allowing me to be home the morning they went on sale!), and rocked out for over two hours to songs from all of Tom's albums. It was an amazing show. If you ever have a chance to see Tom Petty live, don't pass it up!
