While in Chicago my family and I took the Chicago Architecture Foundation's River Cruise. The 90-minute tour was definitely a highlight of the weekend! Our CAF certified volunteer tour guide, Dick, was amazingly knowledgable about the buildings along the Chicago River and provided us with a wealth of knowledge as we cruised through the city. It was the perfect way to see the city!

I used to live by Chicago (for just over a year) and I wish I knew about this tour! The city really has a wonderful downtown area. :) Glad to hear you had a fun time on your visit!!

If you make it back to Chicago I highly recommend the tour! We learned a lot and had such a great time.
I spent the night in Chicago last Thursday under less than ideal circumstances. Can't wait to go back there for a proper visit. Though I may avoid the airport. ;)
