Scenes from the weekend.

This past weekend was one for the record books. On Friday night we celebrated Boo's birthday. Our little Halloween baby turned seven! Boo loves Twinkies, so we let her have a few bites of her birthday snack cake before her usual dinner of wet food.

On Saturday Brian and I purchased our first car together! We are now the proud owners of a 2013 Honda Civic! I have lived in New York City for eleven years sans car, so imagining myself driving through the five boroughs is pretty crazy. We had contemplated getting a car before, but had always made due with trains and rentals. I spend a lot of time on the subways every day (my commute to and from work is a little over two hours a day) and for the most part love the efficiency of the public transportation in the city. But when Brian recently started a new job where a car was necessary, we knew it was time to take the plunge. I can't wait to take our first road trip together in our new car this coming weekend!
