Yesterday I woke long before the sun and headed to LaGuardia airport. I was going home. I watched out the window as the ground changed from green to white and the sun slowly lit up the sky. By the time they announced our initial decent into Minneapolis, the snow flurries were falling. I had arrived in my Minnesota white Christmas.
After trekking through the slippery roads and stopping at a french bakery in town for croissants, we arrived home. It felt so good to sip coffee next to my family's Christmas tree and see the stockings hung above the fire place. Which is what I plan to do all week long. I hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas with family and friends. I am looking forward to seeing loved ones over the next several days and having time to write about it from the comforts of my parents' house. Merry Christmas everyone!
