Last weekend, I tried another Pinterest recipe that I knew I had to bake the second I saw it- Oreo-stuffed chocolate chip cookies. As my friend Sahba said, they were cookies pregnant with other cookies. After reading the ingredients in Oreos for the first time at the grocery store and discovering that they have high fructose corn syrup in them (among a whole list of other bad things), I quickly opted for Newman's organic chocolate cream filled cookies instead. I used the recipe found here.
If you do not own a cookie scoop, I recommend getting one. They are not expensive and make the whole baking process so much easier. This recipe required two scoops per cookie, that you molded into one large cookie around the Oreo. The results: a giant, delicious pregnant cookie that may or may not make you look slightly pregnant (with a food baby) after consuming. Delicious!6.23.2011
