It's report writing time in my neck of the woods city. Three times a year, I buckle down and type for hours and hours about my lovely second grade friends. Thankfully, my school lets us work from home on election day to (try to) get them all done.
I spent most of the day working at my favorite Astoria coffee shop, The Queens Kickshaw. There are so many things I love about the Kickshaw...
Fancy cappuccinos...
My own personal nook...
The most delicious egg sandwich (ricotta, gruyere crisp, thyme, and maple hot sauce on brioche)...
The perfect atmosphere...
Curried pumpkin seeds...
My love...
And the most delicious pour over coffee (Honduras Finca Liquidambar Catuai)...
Reports can be stressful, but the perfect setting can really make all the difference.
Love your pictures! Looks like a really awesome coffee house to visit.
ReplyDeleteThat would make reports WAY more fun! Quarterly progress? Or something else?
ReplyDeleteI LOVE Queens Kickshaw. Only gone there for lunch; never gone specifically to use as a coffee shop, although their coffee is the bomb. If you go in the afternoon, you've really got to try the black-bean-gouda-pickled jalapeno sandwich. It's ridiculous (in the best possible way).
ReplyDeleteAgain with the awesome locations! Your killin' me! And now, for some reason, I hear my espresso machine calling me... xo
ReplyDeleteI wanna live in NYC! How precious of you and the hubs to sit there together with your apples and your cappuccinos! :) just precious!
ReplyDeleteI've been dying to get there, but just haven't made it yet! I was actually supposed to go on Friday but started coming down with something so we just ordered pizzas from Vesta (not too shabby, either!). But I've heard the grilled cheese is awesome here.
ReplyDeleteThe food from these place looks incredible, I bet it taste as good as it looks, I m drooling all over the screen here and I adore your necklace. Your blog is awesome by the way and I am a new follower! Hope you will like my blog and follow back!

That looks like the perfect coffee house!
ReplyDeleteI just stumbled upon your blog and LOVE it! My hubs wants to move to New York so badly, but as a Georgia Peach I am reluctant to leave home! Your blog makes NY seem so inviting and exciting!
ReplyDeleteI am a new follower and would love if you would come by my blog sometime. I am a newbie to this whole blogging thing so any help/guidance/advice would be appreciated!
xoxo,
Francesca
