One day, an East Coast Blogger met a West Coast Blogger.

Sunday morning I happily strolled through the charming streets of the West Village. The air was crisp, the sun was shining, and I was eager and excited for my very first... blate. That's right, I had my first blogger date with Kim from Yep, They Are All Mine.

The most amazing part about meeting Kim was that we already knew so much about one each other. After following each other's blogs for about a year, we could skip all of those questions you usually rattle off when meeting someone new. I already knew where she lived, all about her kids, how she met and fell in love with her husband, and how incredibly witty and sarcastic she was. And she knew just as much about me. Some might find this a little strange, or even creepy, but I find it pretty amazing.  We were able to pick up like old friends over brunch at Cafe Cluny tucked away on a quiet corner on 12th Street.

After brunch, we walked over to Washington Square Park and enjoyed the scenery surrounding NYU's campus. It was the most beautiful fall day. Absolutely perfect.
We admired the architecture in NoHo and SoHo, and wandered through quiet side streets with no destination in mind.
Our Sunday afternoon concluded with coffee and tarts at Once Upon a Tart on Sullivan Street. Todd and Kim split a lemon tart, and I thoroughly enjoyed a pear almond tart. It was the perfect end to a perfect blogger meet-up!
If you are not following Kim's blog yet, you need to head over to Yep, They Are All Mine and start reading. She is just as wonderful in person as she is in blogger-land!

  1. Oooh how fun!! I love meeting fellow bloggers!! And it's not creepy at all that you felt like you already knew each other- it's totally normal. :) Blogging really does bring people close together, and you can develop such great friendships through it. Hope I get to meet you one day! I will hop on over to Kim's blog right now!
