A Summer Market

I love checking out the Greenmarkets around the city with Brian. He excitedly wanders from vendor to vendor, asking about how they grow their produce and carefully selecting ingredients for our next meal. Meanwhile, I get to see the market through my camera lens. During this trip, we stocked up on organic arugula, raw cow's milk cheese, and fresh tomato sauce for the most delicious homemade pizza. I loved it so much, I asked Brian to make it again a few days later.

Our market adventures are always enjoyable.

  1. We *LOVE* farmers markets. We go to our local one in town every weekend - I love supporting local farmers and buying stuff without pesticides, etc.... We don't mind paying a little more.
Garlic scapes - They are interesting. We got them a few weeks ago and I tried to use them to sautee with chicken and I wasn't overly thrilled with them - I guess I expected them to be as strong as garlic but I might have been using them wrong too - who knows?! Its not like I am Master chef here LOL.
