Home for the Holidays

Our Christmas was full of everything I love: family, laughter, good food, and hours of conversation. Coming back to Minnesota for Christmas always makes me so happy. There really is nothing better than being home for the holidays.
This same ornament hangs on my tree in New York City; it is from a my grandparents first box of ornaments 56 years ago.
Emerita.
My grandma's awesome ice box.
Minnesota is COLD!
My brothers- Duncan, Cody, Connor, and Lucas.
My step-dad, Chuck.
My grandpa.
My aunt and grandma putting the final touches on our Christmas meal.
We look forward to these cheesy potatoes all year!
I hope you had a very merry Christmas! What are some of your family Christmas traditions?

  1. This is so sweet. You have such a big family! It must be so different there than the city, pretty brave of you to have made that move so young. Thanks for sharing!

  2. Such wonderful photographs of your grandparents and your overall experience being home for the Holidays! Minnesota is COLD, WOW! I also love you Grandmother's old Christmas ornaments, they just don't make hand-painted ornaments with metal crown caps like that anymore! I know, I'm such a Christmas geek with my technical terms here LOL Merry Christmas!
