I will never tire of exploring Chinatown. The markets, restaurants, bakeries, and parks make me forget that I am in the middle of Manhattan. I spent an afternoon last weekend wandering the streets, starting at Canal and making my way down and around. I silently observed card games played under umbrellas in Columbus Park, listened to traditional Chinese music, and searched for my favorite almond cookies in small bakeries.
I loving living in a city that can make me feel like I am in another world.
Lovely, colourful post. Can't wait to visit NYC again and have a good look around Chinatown :)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the comment Claire! Chinatown is such a fun neighborhood to explore. During your next visit make sure to stop by the Original Chinatown Ice Cream Factory if you are in the area; their almond cookie ice cream is my absolute favorite!
