This weekend was lovely. New York City delivered the most beautiful weather and the cooler temperatures and blue skies were so refreshing! On Saturday my dear friends Rebecca and Sahba came to Astoria to tour my neighborhood. After a delicious lunch at Il Bambino, we walked around, shopped, and treated ourselves to popcorn pudding and frappe. The rest of my weekend was spent at home with Brian and Emily. We colored, baked, and watched one of our favorite movies, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. I blame Mr. Wonka for the insane amount of Ghirardelli brownies I consumed on Sunday!

What is the dish that is in the 3rd picture from the top and on the right hand side of the picture?? Looks AMAZING!!!!!
ReplyDeleteHey! You are right, both of those dishes are so amazing! The third picture is of two appetizers from Il Bambino. The plate further away is chickpea panzanella and the closer dish is a fingerling potato salad with truffles, shallots, and pecorino cheese. So delicious!

DeleteI've made those brownies before! Finger licking good! Every time I think about Astoria, it seems like such a cool place to be. I don't know if I can take another year of commuting to the Bronx from where I live now. Maybe Astoria is an option!
