Scenes from the long weekend.

Three-day weekends are pure magic and this one in particular made me so incredibly happy. On Saturday morning I tackled a few projects at home before treating myself to a manicure. It had been a month since my last trip to the nail salon and it felt so good to clean up my nails! Saturday night we met our friends Ronnie and Matt, who were in town from Boston, at GustOrganics for an early dinner. My homemade pappardelle pasta with spinach pesto was delicious! After dinner we headed crosstown to St. Marks Place to see Mildred Fierce, a production from Boston written by Ronnie and Matt's friend. It was awesome!

On Sunday Brian and I had a lunch date at William Hallet in Astoria. Their mac and cheese with bacon hit the spot! Lately we have been ordering in a lot, so it was really nice to get out in the neighborhood and enjoy a meal together. After lunch I snuck in a little shopping with Lindsey before watching the Pats and Red Sox games that evening. It was an amazing weekend to be a Boston sports fan!

Monday morning I met up with my dad in Red Hook for breakfast at Fort Defiance. I know I will be craving our entrees for weeks to come! After our savory breakfast we picked up some treats and coffee at Baked. My dad is a musician and will be working on a cruise ship for the next few weeks that docks in Brooklyn. It was so wonderful to see him and I am looking forward to meeting up again when he returns from his run in a couple weeks!

Like I said, three-day weekends = magic. How was your weekend?
