Twelve dates of Christmas: On our third date of Christmas...

... we got some Christmas shopping done together at Target!
Since we don't own a car, our trips to Target to stock up on gifts, household items, and groceries are rare. It is always such a challenge to carry purchases home on the subway! But, when armed with a coupon for 20% off my entire purchase (which I earned very early Black Friday morning), I knew we had to push through the torture of getting everything home and shop! We split a coffee from Starbucks and took our time wandering through the aisles for a couple hours. We got Emily a few gifts, stocked up on toiletries, and scored several new storage containers for all of our Christmas decor. We also got a new coffee pot to replace my (very questionable) one from several years ago. It was so fun to have Brian with me as I shopped! I can't wait to get all of our gifts wrapped and under the tree.

    1. Thanks! Christmas shopping is my favorite, too! My hat is Burberry- I got it on super-sale at an outlet several years ago. Lucky find!

  2. I just love Target! Where do you have to go to get to one?

    1. Hey Jordan! There is one 5 subway stops from my house (with some walking too, of course). I go sometimes for quick errands, but rarely can I stock up like I want to! Whenever we rent a car I usually convince Brian to take me to Target, too. I love to shop there when convenient!

  3. Living in New York has saved me money as Target is now less accessible! I used to live 5 minutes from a Target when I lived in Denver, and I would routinely drop 80 bucks a week. It is exciting to go there now! (Also, two questions...1) Where'd you get that hat? (I always ask you this, don't I?), and 2) Who splits a coffee? I must be greedier than you. jenn, muchtomydelight.com

    1. Agreed! Whenever I go home to Minnesota or to my sister's in Tampa I always make a trip to Target. Their DVDs are always my downfall. I walk out with at least one every time!

My hat is from a Burberry outlet sale I went to several years ago- lucky find! And yes, we often split coffee! Now, if it was a peppermint mocha, that would be a different story...

  4. Oh, Target! I only go to ones in the city when absolutely necessary. I try to go when I am home in Alabama too. They are cleaner, the staff is nicer, and piling all my purchases in a car is heaven! Glad you enjoyed your date!

    1. The city Targets just are not the same! I love my hometown Target, but it is a dangerous place when it comes to unnecessary spending! We had fun at our date. I am so happy all of our Christmas decorations are now being stored in matching bins- way easier when the holidays roll around next year and we go get our things out of storage!
