I have also learned a lot about myself during my first year of cohabiting... For starters, it turns out I am the messier person in our relationship. Apparently my obsessive compulsive nature does not apply to the clutter that mounts at our entryway every work week or the piles of clothing I leave around our bedroom. I also purchase pints of ice cream way too often, am not the best about cleaning out the coffee pot, and always steal the covers while I sleep. But, I also love to bake treats and leave little love notes for Brian around the house. It all balances out.
I am looking forward to many more years of living with my best friend.
Congratulations! I'm glad you two are having such a good time.
ReplyDeleteThanks Melissa! It's been a blast!
DeleteHappy cohabiting anniversary! I love the plates you have on your wall and the polaroid-like pictures at your desk. I hope your many more years are as wonderful as your first. Congrats!

Thank you Bre! Putting together our plate wall was one of my favorite projects. The photos are all from my Instagram account, and were printed using Printstagram. They make a ton of cool photo products and their quality is amazing!
DeleteHappy year! You have a beautiful home and it must be so special (and annoying, too, sometimes) to wake up each day with the one that you love. ♥

Thanks Cristina! I do love waking up every day next to Brian. Our schedules tend to be opposite most of the time, so we don't even bother each other much. We've been having a great time! We should plan another get together soon, maybe a brunch out somewhere?
DeleteCongrats! My boyfriend and I have been cohabbing it up for the past three and a half years. In Arkansas, people automatically assume we're married and our landlord even changed my last name to his at one point for our lease. Ugh. I'm assuming they don't do that in NYC, do they?
ReplyDeleteHey Kim! No, people don't usually assume that in NYC. Rents are so crazy ridiculous here, most people tend to move in together sooner than they should. Brian and I actually dated for seven years before moving in together, which was quite a long time! I am glad we waited though. Living by myself for so long was a great experience, and made the excitement of moving in together even better!
