Life according to Instagram, Week 21.

Another week brought to you by Instagram...
1-4. Last Sunday, Brian and I spent the afternoon in Jackson Heights watching the Queens Pride Parade. So many aspects of the parade brought me joy- the families and spectators cheering from the curbs, the Lesbian and Gay Big Apple Corps, the energy of all who marched... but most of all, the pride that was evident by all who participated.
5. Queens' Pride continued that evening with a huge rainbow in the sky.
6. Monday night was date night at Brooklyn Bowl.
7. Eating at Brooklyn Bowl is such a treat. The Rock and Roll fries are one of my favorite things to eat in the city; they are that good. What are Rock and Roll fries? Why, they are perfectly crispy fries covered in gravy, cajun spices, provolone, and cheddar. Yum. Our meal was topped off by a strawberry vanilla milkshake. We did not hold back.
8. Brooklyn Bowl charm.
9. The Levon Helm Tribute concert at Brooklyn Bowl was fantastic.
10. Ain't that the truth.
11. Late night Boo.
12. Breathtaking skies over the Manhattan skyline.
13. Some mornings an iced coffee is necessary.
14. The best unexpected gift from one of my second graders. These cookies made my day.
15. Flatbush Avenue, Brooklyn.
16. NYC corner flower shop.
17. Thursday was Brooklyn Queens Day, which meant I got to work from home! Sunny skies and seventy degree weather called for a lunch date outside.
18. One of our Astoria favorites: Leng Thai
19. Thai fried beef jerky. Oh yeah.
20. Brian, my thinker.
21. Orange nails brightened up my week.
22. Saltwaters and stars.
23. On Friday our third graders led our walkathon Walk for the World
24. The kids proudly walked laps to raise money for Unicef.
25. Brianne, my second grade partner in crime and ice cream buddy!
26. Me and the kindergarten Saltwater girls.
27. Friday night happy hour.
28. I opted for cheesecake instead of beer.
29. Good morning! I cooked myself a real breakfast Saturday morning.
30. Breakfast burrito complete- ready to be rolled and enjoyed.
31. It's official. I have a frozen treat addiction. This banana peanut butter Greek frozen yogurt hit the spot this weekend.
32. I may or may not have gone out of my way running errands on Saturday to satisfy my Ralph's craving. I cannot resist peanut butter cookie dough and peanut butter pretzel.
33. Empire state.
34. Two thumbs up for Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted.

  2. Every time I see your pictures, I think 2 things: 1.) You are taking full advantage of the city and I'm jealous and 2.) How do you eat that much and stay so beautiful?!?
