Scenes from the long weekend.
Brian, Emily, and I battled the muggy weather over Labor Day weekend and had a wonderful time enjoying our city. On Saturday we treated ourselves to macaron ice cream sandwiches (I just can't get enough!) from the Plaza Food Court and explored Central Park. After hours of walking and playing, we opted for homemade french bread pizzas and a movie night at home that evening. On Sunday we made our first trip to Governor's Island to check out Fete Paradiso, a traveling carnival of vintage Parisian carousels. We also snuck in a quick visit to the photography exhibits while we were there. We concluded our last summer weekend together with 16 Handles on our stoop and a formal tea party at home. How was your weekend?

Looks like it was a great weekend! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment Jordan! It was a blast. Winding down summer is always hard, but I am starting to get excited for all of my favorite things about fall!
DeleteI spent my weekend cleaning, organizing, and fretting about classroom setup. But I went to a hooley and spent time with my kinda-sorta nephew, so that was fun! ;)
