I recently discovered my favorite way to catch up with friends: Chose a neighborhood around New York City, meet up there for a meal or snack, and then walk around for hours talking and taking pictures.
My friend Sahba and I met up downtown for macaron ice cream sandwiches and then wandered all afternoon and into the evening around the West Village. It was the perfect way to spend our Friday! I never had to worry about stopping to take pictures along our walk or asking her to hold up her ice cream sandwich in the perfect light because she was doing the exact same thing. It was a welcomed change after usually being the only one with camera in hand. We had an amazing day hanging out and capturing the city around us.

ReplyDeleteYes! Definitely one of my favorite things to do. Such beautiful results.
ReplyDelete(p.s. Thanks for the link to the macaroon place! I'm adding it to a google doc that my boyfriend set up of fun things to do/places to go this fall!)
I love your pictures!
ReplyDeleteHey Elba! Thank you so much for reading and for leaving such a nice comment! I love taking pictures around the city and am so happy to hear you enjoy looking at them!
DeleteI just love this life you are able to share in New York! I've never heard of ice cream macaroons, but would love to try them. I wish my husband would dream of living there like I do! He just is just very much more of an inside person than I am, and he isn't obsessed with ice creams and macaroons! -Jess L
ReplyDeleteHey Jessica! Thank you so much for stopping by and leaving a comment. It is always so nice to hear when readers enjoy seeing NYC through my eyes. NYC is definitely a great place to live if you love ice cream and macarons! I tend to plan entire days around the desserts I want to get around the city. I have a major sweet tooth!
