Twelve dates of Christmas: On our fourth date of Christmas...

... we picked out our (gigantic) Christmas tree! 
This is our first year living together after almost eight years of dating, which means this is also our first year of only selecting one Christmas tree instead of two! It was love at first sight with the tree we picked out. 
We didn't realize at first how full our tree was... but the second Brian picked it up to carry it home he knew it was much larger than any of our previous trees. Thank god we he only had to walk it three blocks home! 
Once we got the tree upstairs and positioned it in the tree stand we were able to comprehend exactly how wide it was. We moved our couch over as far as possible to avoid any sap mishaps and then stood back to admire our new Christmas baby. It really is the most beautiful tree! The hardest part about picking out a tree is waiting for the branches to settle... we saved decorating for our fifth date of Christmas!

      Thanks Cat! And thank you so much for always commenting. It is so fun to see new comments pop up in my inbox. We decorated last weekend, and saved an entire box to add to our tree on Saturday with my boyfriend's daughter. I LOVE decorating the tree!

    I am excited to see it decorated. It is a beautiful tree. My two cats love sitting under mine with the lights glowing. Needless to say, no gifts are kept under the tree. No room with them.

      Boo loves sleeping under our tree! Although this year she has not been under there as much as years past. Luckily she also stopped drinking out of the tree stand this year!

    Poor Brian! I can't wait to see your tree all decorated. I usually don't do much decorating for the holidays since I am typically travelling, but I'm sort of inspired this year. Maybe I will break out some low commitment paper snowflakes or something :)

      Hey Melissa!

      Did you end up getting our some holiday decorations? I go a little crazy with my Christmas decor; we have four large tubs we keep in our storage unit because of my love for holiday decorations! The tree is our favorite part. We decorated the rest with Emily this weekend and it is now completely full!
