South Mountain

While visiting my friend Rachel in Phoenix we knew we wanted to go on at least one hike. Rachel chose to take us up South Mountain. The hike was about two and a half miles each way and mild to moderate in difficulty. The wildflowers were in bloom and we spotted lots of fun wildlife as we made our way up and down the rocky terrain. The views from the top were beautiful! I especially loved the variety of cacti at the top of the mountain. After our hike we treated ourselves to an amazing lunch at the Farm Kitchen at South Mountain. It was a wonderful day!

    1. Arizona was such a beautiful place. I had no idea how different the landscapes were across the state. I had such a wonderful time exploring the state and can't wait to go back for another visit!

    1. Hey! South Mountain was gorgeous and I loved hiking it. I also loved the Farm Kitchen for lunch afterwards! If I lived nearby I have a feeling I would be eating there all the time.

    1. It was so beautiful! Do you guys ever hike around the NYC area? After my Arizona hike I am motivated to try some trails around here. Let me know if you have any favorite spots! A lot of friends have recommended Cold Spring, so that might be my first trip.
