Scenes from Labor Day Weekend.

Brian and I left early Friday morning for Massachusetts. That evening we celebrated his nephew Dan's wedding at a beautiful golf course in Metheun with his family. The weather was absolutely perfect and we had a blast dancing the night away.

On Saturday morning we had breakfast at Artist Cafe in Haverhill, Massachusetts. I ordered the hash brown casserole and was in heaven- the layers of home fries, crispy bacon, and fluffy scrambled eggs were perfection! After breakfast we drove up to Maine, where we spent the rest of the weekend on the lake. It had been a few years since our last visit to camp and we cherished every moment while we were there! The temperatures climbed into the eighties during the day and cooled off into the fifties at night, allowing me to wear my coziest sweatshirt as we ate dinner outside on the patio. We took several boat rides around Wilson Lake and Brian was able to ski both days. I took a more relaxed approach to my activities and loved floating in the center of the lake and laying in the hammock. Of course, no trip to Maine is complete without ice cream! All in all, it was an awesome Labor Day weekend!

  1. My daughter got married in Methuen three years ago! At the Methuen music hall! Sounds like a perfect weekend! {also, my husband has *almost* the same shirt...his says grill master} We had a very low key weekend - much needed. A couple of local hikes, but close to home with no agenda. It was much needed!

    1. Nice! The wedding we attended was at the Merrimack Valley Golf Club- it was really beautiful there! It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend as well. No agenda is a good agenda to me! We are hoping to get in a few hikes before it gets too cold here. We love exploring Bear Mountain! Happy September to you :)
