Scenes from the weekend.

Late-night cookie stop at Schmackery's
Brunch at Queen's Comfort. I loved my mug.
Disco Tots.
Chicken and waffles.
Grand Central.
Federal Hall National Memorial- Where Washington took the oath as the first President.
Trinity Church.
9/11 Memorial.
Big Gay Ice Cream in the West Village- American Globs coming to life.
Gray's Papaya.

Last weekend my brother in law, Todd, came to New York City for the first time! Ever! I know, I know, his visit was long overdue. We had less than 24 hours to tour the city, so we had quite a whirlwind of a weekend. Todd loves food just as much as I do, so many of the sights we saw were selected based on proximity to some of my favorite restaurants and bakeries. We walked around Times Square, chowed down at Daisy May's BBQ, strolled Fifth Avenue, and spent the afternoon downtown touring memorials and Wall Street. We also had an amazing brunch at Queens Comfort with Brian and Emily. It was a wonderful weekend and I can't wait until the next time T-Bone is in town!

Oh my gosh you definitely got to see a lot of things in a short amount of time! I've yet to make it to the Big Gay Ice Cream Shoppe, but totally need to stop by next time I'm in town (in warm weather). And I've never heard of Queen's Comfort, but those disco tots look legit. My fave brunch place is Penelope's on 30/Lex- have you been?

I love the name Schmackery's and Disco Tots are like a mini party in a bowl—YUM! Looks like T-bone had a quick yet extensive and fun-filled weekend with you in NYC—you're a great tour guide! I always love looking at your photos!
