This weekend my sister, brother in law, and nieces jetted up to New York City for a quick visit from Florida. It was the girls' second trip to the city and their first time meeting Emily in person! The girls had talked on Skype prior to their visit and were instant best friends within minutes of meeting. We had a blast exploring the city together. We took in the views from Top of the Rock, browsed the holiday windows on 5th Avenue, played in Central Park, and wandered the Museum of Natural History. It is such a treat to have my family in the city! The weekend flew by way too quickly; we will just need to plan another visit soon!
You must have had a great weekend, those are wonderful awesome looking pictures! i love the rhino one! so cool! happy monday!

It looks like it was a perfect week-end. Certainly a great way to kick off the holiday season. Now we just need to hope that wind doesn't ruin the parade this week.
ReplyDeleteI know, this weather sounds brutal! We always have Emily over the Thanksgiving holiday and go to the parade, but this year we may stay home where it is warm. Hopefully the balloons can fly!
DeleteWhat a fun weekend of sight seeing. It's great that the girls got along so well. I forget how easy going kids can be. I wish adults were that fun!
ReplyDeleteOMG. Good luck at the parade. You have stronger will than I do! I'll be enjoying it from the comfort of my couch with a hot coffee :)
Kids are so amazing! We had all the girls sleep over on Saturday night and Brian and I had so much listening in on their conversations. It was such a great weekend and I know the kids will be talking about it for a long time!
DeleteWe always go to the parade, but this year we might be staying in. After hearing the forecast for the week we decided pajamas, coffee, and a bacon breakfast sound much more appealing! If the cold and wind are not as bad as predicted we might try to go for a little while, but most likely we will be in :)
