Scenes from the weekend.

I admit that most of my three-day weekend, thanks to Friday's winter weather, was spent in my pajamas. I am now completely caught up on Pretty Little Liars in anticipation of this week's winter premiere and am halfway through the second season of Scandal. Holy smokes, Scandal. I had a feeling I would be hooked on the show based on how much my friends love it. I did manage to make it to the gym for the first time after a couple weeks away. I also snuck in a little shopping on Fifth Avenue along with a pretzel croissant and hot chocolate shot at City Bakery. I am super excited I found my favorite pair of Hudson ankle boots at Madewell on super clearance. I finished out the weekend with Juan Pablo. My friends and I set up our own little Fantasy Bachelor league- I hope I picked the top girls! How was your weekend?

  1. A 3 day weekend in pjs sounds like a winner to me! Scandal is the best, isn't it? I want Olivia Pope's entire wardrobe. Although I don't know how she never spills wine all over her cream clothes with those ridiculously tall wine glasses. And Juan Pablo? I don't know about that fella. I've got to wait until tonight to see the premiere (stupid Germany), but I'm thinking this season is going to be a strange one. Stay warm, girl!

    1. Olivia Pope's white coats are amazing. I would definitely ruin them if I attempted to pull them off in NYC! I am really excited for this season of the Bachelor. The previews look ridiculous and drama-filled! Last night's premiere was fun. I am always uncomfortable watching those awkward introductions outside the mansion.

  2. Thank you for the reminder to get back to City Bakery ASAP.

Similarly quiet weekend, though I did manage to peel myself off the couch to go to Brooklyn Flea on Saturday. I had some pretty excellent books to keep me company so I consider it a success.

    1. The pretzel croissants at City Bakery are so yummy! The hot chocolate is a little rich for me, but I love to have a little shot with a big marshmallow. Glad to hear you had a nice time at the Flea! I actually have only been in the warmer months... I should make a trip this winter!

  3. Scandal! So glad you are hooked. It gets a little kooky at times but is one of my current favorites. A Bachelor Fantasy league is so perfect and hilarious. Good luck with your picks!

    1. Hey! Yep, I love Scandal! I am looking forward to watching an episode or two tonight after I get home from Zumba. And I loved the premiere of the Bachelor last night! Currently my "team" is in second place. Woohoo!

  4. You're pictures make me miss New York so much, even in the winter. I think I even got all teary-eyed when I scrolled past the Shake Shack pic. We pretty much though had a lazy weekend as well. In fact, yesterday my four year old spent the entire day in her pjs (expert parenting happening in our house - lol)! Stay warm this winter and happy 2014!

    1. Hey Bre! Thanks so much for stopping by and commenting. No worries about keeping your kiddo in PJs; we have had several weekends with Emily in her pajamas playing around the house! I love weekends out and about, but lazy days at home are really my favorite. Hopefully I can provide you with a little slice of NYC until you can return!

  5. Great photos!! I am photographer (kind of sort of) too...I don’t have a beautiful city like New York to take photos in...so yours are wonderful to see! Also, I LOVE the bachelor...I never thought about doing a fantasy league sort of thing...how does it work exactly? :)

    1. Hey Samantha! So great to meet you! I look forward to following your blog and Instagram.

The Fantasy Bachelor league is so fun and hilarious! My friend Jen put it together with her boyfriend's help. Before each episode we draft our team; eventually our teams will be locked in and we will need to predict the order of the final five girls. During the episode, Jen's boyfriend tallies up all the points for the ladies in the house. The girls get points for things like getting the first rose, crying, saying they are there for the right reasons, fights, dancing at concerts, saying I love you, etc. Then we got our scores for our team Tuesday morning. So fun! I am currently in second place and am filling my team with the drama girls- hoping for big points next week!
