My parents were in town this weekend, so the majority of my time was spent with them enjoying delicious food around Manhattan and Queens. We also spent a significant amount of time talking about how cold it was in New York City. I personally cannot handle snow at the end of March! Enough is enough.
On Friday night we had a phenomenal dinner at Masseria dei Vini in Hell's Kitchen. I have to say, homemade pasta is my jam. Throw in red wine, fresh bread, burrata, and ricotta cheese cake and I am over the moon happy. We spent Saturday morning in SoHo shopping for sneakers. Unfortunately, all of the Adidas on our wish list were out of stock. I am keeping my fingers crossed they bring the Forum Up sneakers back soon! For lunch we tried out the Gotham West Market on 11th Avenue. Tacos and Ample Hills ice cream were well worth the trek! My parents had tickets to An American in Paris that evening, so I stayed in and caught up on Scandal. On Sunday we ordered pizza for lunch and had panini sandwiches, salads, and wine at Il Bambino in Astoria for dinner. My mom and I also started planning our Paris trip for this summer. We are so excited to return to the city of light in July! If you have any Paris suggestions please send them my way.
