Walking the Highline

Before Sara headed back to Minneapolis, I met her in the meatpacking district to walk around and grab coffee. We started off by walking The Highline. Every time I go there, I see something new and appreciate the calm environment high above the traffic of 10th Avenue. Today, it was especially quiet- I am not sure if it was because it was a work day or the humidity. I am excited for the water section to open, from the pictures it looks like you can sit on benches in the middle of a small pool with fountains. When it gets a little cooler, I plan on going back and reading a good book while sitting on a bench directly over the cars driving on 10th.

Next, we walked back to Chelsea Market to grab a quick bite and coffee. I always love going to Amy's Bread. My mom and I
always used to stop in the 9th Avenue location and indulge in cherry scones. This time, Sara and I decided to split a ham, cheese, and cheddar biscuit sandwich and a spinach and mushroom quiche. One word... delicious! We also got iced coffees, of course. Then, we headed to Anthropologie to shop. I found a dress and belt, and Sara found a cute top. Rarely can I walk out of that store without purchasing at least one thing. My shopping stopped as I perused $6,000 dresses in Alexander McQueen. I was sad to send Sara off; I wish she lived here!
