What a Year

As I ring in the new year and look forward to all that is to come in 2011, I also like to reflect on all that happened over the past year. 2010 was pretty spectacular. I am blessed to have so many amazing people in my life and to have gone on so many adventures. Here are some of the highlights from the past year...

January
Midtown, midnight, New Years- I made it through the barricades and crowds in time to be a part of the official Times Square countdown with my love. What a fun way to start 2010!
My niece and I's birthdays are one day apart. I was lucky enough to get to celebrate with her in Florida. She was quite the princess!
February
My best friend Catie gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, Caroline. She was the most perfect little newborn.
Who needs a yard to make a snowman?! Fun in the snow at Brian's place.
March
At the end of March, Brian and I went to Florida for a week of relaxation and time with family. We spent time with his parents, my sister, brother in law, and nieces, and by ourselves. It was all fantastic!
We went to our first Red Sox spring training game...
... and spent the day traveling around the world in Epcot.
April
Lindsey got engaged! I can't wait for her wedding in 2011!
May
Jill's wedding brought us dancers together in Las Vegas for a long weekend of fun. We started on the strip, staying at Planet Hollywood, and then headed to Lake Mead for the ceremony and reception on Saturday. We had a blast hanging out, celebrating the wonderful couple, and dancing the night away!
June
Brian, Emily, and I drove to Acton, Maine to spend a week at his parents' house on Wilson Lake. We spent a day at Storyland, relaxed on the water, played in the sand, and grilled. Brian and I also spent a day by ourselves in North Conway, one of the cutest stinking towns in New Hampshire. We drove the Kancamagus Highway and stopped to hike the rocky river before heading back to Maine.
July
Another month, another dancer wedding. Katie and Cory got married July 10th, and I must say it was the most fun I have ever had at a reception. The band was amazing and we danced for hours. Sunglasses, blow-up guitars, and our old ballet moves came out as night went on.
While I was in Minnesota in July, I got to go to the Twins' new Target Field. Amy and I had a blast eating hot dogs and cheese curds as we watched the Twins win. And see those glasses? After that week I never wore them again, because I had PRK Lasik!
August
August was an eventful month. First, my step-brother Chad got married to his high school sweetheart Jamie. And if the wedding wasn't enough to make that warm weekend in August magical, we had a party at my parents' house the next afternoon with our very own corn dog stand! In my family, that pretty much equates to heaven on earth.
At the end of the month before heading back to work, Brian and I discovered Fort Tilden, NYC's best kept secret beach. We had a perfect day swimming, tanning, and snacking on the secluded sandy beach.
September
Brian and I had the weekend of our lives at the Life is Good Festival outside of Boston. I wrote all about the weekend back in September, but here is one of my favorite pictures from the weekend. We got to meet Guster right after their private performance in the Chase Freedom Lounge. Their music has been playing non-stop in my apartment and on my Iphone since!
October
Boo celebrated her third birthday on Halloween.
November
Brian, Emily, and I spent Thanksgiving morning in the heart of Midtown watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
I learned how to knit! I took a couple classes at the Lion Brand Yarn Studio near Union Square and was able to knit my mom a scarf by Christmas.
December
Brian and I got our first tree together for my apartment. It made me so happy every time I looked at it!
Brian and I celebrated our anniversary. I love you Brian!

Cheers to a wonderful, magical, fulfilling year in 2011. Happy new year everyone!
