Life according to Instagram, Week 5.

1. Monday morning was cold in New York!
2. Morning sunrise at my subway station in Astoria.
3. & 4. After pinning a recipe for Valentine's pretzel buttons on Pinterest, I knew I had to make them for my co-workers. So, I went on a search for Hershey's Hugs. After checking three different Duane Reades, I gave up and headed to the source: the Hershey's store in Times Square.
5. I unwrapped Hug after Hug as I watched a train wreck, also known as The Bachelor. This season is so entertaining!
6. The buttons turned out perfectly! So easy and cute, and they were a hit at school on Valentine's Day!
7. Boo helped me on my second batch.
8. I received the best mail this week from family back home in Minnesota and friends in New York. I love, love, love real mail.
9. Could my grandparents be any cuter?
10. Brian and I decided to have a relaxing night at home on Valentine's Day. Brian prepared the most amazing meal. We started with one of my favorite treats, dates wrapped in bacon. I inhaled them.
11. For dinner, we had filet mignon with homemade au poivre sauce, quinoa with broccoli, tomatoes, and peppers, and sweet potato mash with apples and cinnamon. Delicious!
12. To finish our feast, we had chocolate covered strawberries and a chocolate heart shaped cake that actually tasted as good as it looked.
13. We also thoroughly enjoyed a massive piece of carrot cake from our favorite Astoria diner.
14. And, of course, we watched lots of Friends episodes.
15. Another morning subway station view.
16. New York City morning rush in Queens.
17. Brian surprised me with macarons on Thursday night.
18. Friday fog.
19. I treated myself to a manicure and pedicure on Friday night. I am loving my color blocked nails!
20. We had a date night at Five Napkin Burger, complete with wings, macaroni and cheese, fries, and steak.
21. Early morning flight to Tampa to see my sister, brother in law, and nieces.
22. Watching the sunrise from 30,000 feet.
23. Landed safe and sound in Tampa. I was so excited to take off those booties and throw on some sandals.
24. Happy feet in my Salt Waters.
25. Color blocked.
26. Reese and Sage. So happy to be with my girls!

  1. Dang girl...busy week! My grandparents sign their letters to me "Love G & G" too! So cute!

PS: You look so adorable in your big furry hat! I haven't gotten to wear mine this season since it's been so unseasonably and weirdly warm.
