Scenes from the weekend.

This was my view for most of Saturday. Parent teacher conferences are two weeks away, which means report writing is in full swing. I spent most of the day writing my narrative reports and am happy to say they are all done! Saturday evening Brian and I had a date night in (our favorite kind these days), complete with a large pizza, Wii Sports Resort duals, and The Office.

On Sunday we attended our first New York Islanders game. One of Brian's clients gifted him four seats behind the goal and we loved the view we had of the game! Even though the Islanders fell apart third period and lost 5-3, it was still a super fun day. Hockey, friends, beer, pretzels and (fake) cheese... How could a girl complain? How was your weekend?

Thank you to all who entered my Stella & Dot giveaway. The two lucky winners were Lindsey H. and Cristina M.! Jen will be contacting you both soon with all of the coupon details. Happy shopping!

  1. What a fun night! We had a blast years ago when we saw our first hockey game with a few friends in Iowa. And I'm glad that my husband and I are not the only couple out there that considers a pizza night & t.v. our date night! Glad you had a great weekend!

Btw, I'm lovin' your plate collection. ;)

    1. Oh, you are definitely not alone with pizza date nights in! We used to have them every Thursday night when we lived in different apartments, and now tend to have them mostly on the weekends. They are the best!

Thanks so much for commenting on my plate wall. It was so fun to put together! It takes a lot of restraint to not keeping buying plates and adding to it!

  2. Oh my gosh, I haven't played Wii in so long! Your date night and weekend sound like they were amazing. My daughter had a play date on Sunday, so my husband and I made margaritas and laid by the pool. Date nights at home are often the best. Glad you had a great weekend!

    1. Our Wii had been packed away for a long time. We actually got it out because Emily asked for a new game system for her birthday, and we said she wouldn't get it a new one until she played more with the Wii. It turns out Brian and I enjoy it just as much as she does!

Margaritas and a pool sounds like a dream come true! I am so ready for the warm weather. Come on spring and summer!

  3. I've never been to a hockey game. I think I would have a hard time following the puck but the food sounds good! Glad you had a fun (albeit work filled) weekend!

    1. Melissa, you need to get to a hockey game! They are so fun. Minnesota is a big hockey state, so it has always been one of my favorite sports to watch. Skating, fights, beer, and greasy food = a good time!
