Scenes from the weekend.

Brian and I spent the weekend in sunny Jacksonville, Florida. His older brother David got married on Saturday afternoon to a lovely woman named Jo, and we couldn't be happier for the newlyweds. Jo was so kind, calm, and friendly all weekend and I know she will fit right in with our crew. We had a great time catching up with Brian's family and dancing the wedding night away. I swear, Brian's dance moves get bigger and better with every passing wedding. I met a few uncles and cousins for the first time and really enjoyed getting to know them. In addition to the wedding festivities, I also snuck in an hour by the pool and read Mindy Kaling's book. Why I waited until now to read that is beyond me. It was hilarious! How was your weekend?

  1. We puppy sat for the "grand puppy" and then went on a {strenuous} mountain hike yesterday. I believe the ranger said that it was 19 degrees with the wind chill at the summit - a far cry from pool weather! We didn't quite make it all the way to the summit - it was the hardest climb I've ever done, and we weren't completely prepared for it! Sounds like you had a great time!

    1. That sounds like an exciting weekend! 19 degrees is pretty cold! I have only gone on a few large hikes as an adult. My ankle is really weak and rolls easily, so hiking makes me nervous!

My heat came on last night for the first time here in NYC; I don't think I am ready for the cold temperatures! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

  2. Lovely photos, as always! I read Mindy Kaling's book a while back and thought it was so impressive. She's such an inspiration!

    1. Thank you so much! I love following your blog, so your comments always mean so much to me! Mindy Kaling's book was hilarious, I could already read it again! I am convinced if I met her we could be best friends (which is how every girl feels I'm sure). I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
